How to Create a Study Circle

Study Circles bring people together for collaborative Bible study. Here's how to create and lead one.

Creating a New Circle

  1. Navigate to Circles in the app
  2. Tap Create Circle button
  3. Fill in the details:
  • Name - Give your circle a meaningful name
  • Description - Explain what you'll study
  • Privacy - Public (anyone can join) or Private (invite only)
  1. Tap Create to launch your circle

As a Circle Leader

You can:

  • Start live study sessions
  • Choose passages to study together
  • Moderate discussions
  • Manage member requests
  • Set the study agenda

Setting Up Your First Session

  1. Open your circle from the Circles page
  2. Tap Start Session when ready
  3. Choose a passage to study together
  4. Members are notified that the session is live

Inviting Members

Public Circles:

  • Share your circle link
  • Members can request to join
  • You approve or deny requests

Private Circles:

  • Generate an invite code
  • Share the code with specific people
  • Only those with the code can join

Best Practices

  • Set a regular meeting schedule
  • Prepare passages in advance
  • Encourage participation from all members
  • Use the prayer wall feature
