How to Highlight and Take Notes

Personalize your Bible with highlights and notes to capture insights and mark important verses.

Adding Highlights

  1. Tap on a verse to select it
  2. Tap the Highlight icon in the verse menu
  3. Choose a color:
  • Yellow - General interest
  • Green - Growth and wisdom
  • Blue - Promises and truth
  • Pink - Love and encouragement
  • Purple - Royalty and kingdom
  • Orange - Warnings and cautions

Adding Notes

  1. Select a verse in the Bible Reader
  2. Tap the Note icon
  3. Type your personal thoughts, questions, or insights
  4. Tap Save to attach the note to the verse

Viewing Your Annotations

  1. Go to My Notes from the sidebar or menu
  2. Browse all your highlights and notes
  3. Filter by color or search by content
  4. Tap any item to jump to that verse

Organizing Annotations

  • Use consistent colors for themes
  • Add tags to notes for easy finding
  • Export your notes for backup
  • Share notes with Study Circle members

Tips for Effective Note-Taking

  • Write observations (what does it say?)
  • Record interpretations (what does it mean?)
  • Note applications (how does this apply to me?)
  • Include cross-references you discover
  • Date significant insights
