Verse Interactions: Tap, Swipe, and Long-Press

Bold Bible uses intuitive touch gestures to help you study Scripture more deeply.

Tap a Verse

When you tap on any verse in the Bible Reader:

  1. The verse is highlighted
  2. An Action Sheet appears from the bottom with tools:
  • Copy - Copy verse text to clipboard
  • Share - Share the verse as text or image
  • Highlight - Add a color highlight (4 preset + custom)
  • Note - Attach a personal study note

Swipe Up on the Action Sheet

After tapping a verse, swipe upward on the Action Sheet:

  1. The sheet expands to show Book Information
  2. View comprehensive details about the current book:
  • Author and date written
  • Original audience
  • Purpose of the book
  • Historical context
  • Literary style
  • Book outline

Long-Press Any Word

Press and hold on any word in a verse:

  1. The Word Study dialog opens
  2. See the original Hebrew (OT) or Greek (NT) word
  3. View Strong's Concordance information
  4. Hear the pronunciation (audio)
  5. Explore cross-references (TSK)
